These yarn wreaths are such a perfect, VERY inexpensive weekend craft and honestly, quite easy to do (keep in mind this is coming from someone who has 0 patience with most projects) I'll try to keep the directions simple, and hope that the pictures help you too!
SUPPLIES: straw wreath, roll of yarn (I use the Vanna White brand), 2 or more colors of felt squares (made from 100% recycled plastic bottles!) scissors, tacky glue or hot glue. You can get all this at Michael's, and probably Hobby Lobby too.
WREATH: Wrap yarn once around wreath and knot it. Continue to wrap all the way around. This is the most time consuming part, and I found it easiest to hold it between my knees. Cover any bare spots when you finish. Glue end down.
FINISH: Arrange your flowers before you glue them down to see the effect. Find something complementary to hang it with! I've seen many variations of yarn wreaths, some use more than one color of yarn and additional decoration.
