Also, take a look at these spectacular heirloom tomatoes I found in the grocery this afternoon (whilst on my way to the kale) Aren't they the most beautiful shapes and colors? Heirloom means the seeds aren't genetically altered, so these guys look like they did before all that science [crap] was invented. They also taste worlds better!!
The last part of this little post is about my summer garden! I helped out at the World Hunger Relief Farm yesterday for their spring Farm Day fest, and while there I picked up some tomato and basil seedlings! I adore Caprese salad, and now I'm happily "growing my own" on the back stoop! (and some wildflowers to set on my table as I eat said salad.) Hope it lives!
LASTLY:
If you're wondering how I have time to make crazy smoothies, craft and garden, have a photo business and go to school, all I can tell you is I make time and prioritize my mental health which correlates directly to my soul ( and vice versa). Please bear with me and I'm sorry if I step on anyone's toes, this is just my thinking:
There are times when I decide to blog, or edit photos over working on major school projects because those things are not what I value. They are very important, obviously - they get done, and I do them to the best of my ability while remaining mentally healthy through doing what I really love. There is no point to stressing over school or other transitory things where you struggle to make the grade, get into such and such grad school, or stress over the layout of your resume. Do what makes your heart and brain happy, and I really believe you'll find a way to pay your bills from there. God has opened tremendous doors for me in areas I never would have thought to look for if I hadn't been living the life that I chose for myself.
