Monday made lovely : this weekend

It's good to get away from running around (and I mean all over campus trying to get my AmeriCorps application done with all reference letters, id's etc. and print grad invitations and edit Mirabelle photos)
and just sit down and think about my weekend.

Saturday was my last concert with the Baylor Symphony Orchestra, and maybe the last time I ever play in one again. To give some perspective, I've played in orchestras since Kindergarten when I started playing a little violin "the size of a hair brush" my mother says.  Of all the dynamics in my life, my music has always been the most constant. I've played in my school orchestras for almost 17 years! And it has been lovely. What a gift! There were so many times I wanted to quit and now I can't believe that chapter is over. I'll always play of course, but never with the consistency that has made cello part of my circadian rhythm.

Anyways, here are some pictures from the last concert of Cody and I, and a precious and DELICIOUS diner we found Sunday morning about 10 miles out of town. Long story short, we missed palm Sunday because we couldn't find the church we wanted to go to :( But we did get some good brunch out of our drive.

To cap off my weekend, I did an engagement shoot of my good friend Emily and her fiance Greg at beautiful Lake Waco.
